About this class:
This class is excellent at developing the core and improving your overall fitness. Don’t miss this opportunity to try this exciting style of Pilates HIIT, designed specifically for the hot room done to motivating music!
Why I focus so much on glutes & core:
Strong glutes aren’t just aesthetic — they stabilise your pelvis, support your lower back and power almost every movement you make, from walking to lifting to flowing through class. When they’re weak, the body compensates (often through the lower back or knees), which can increase strain and injury risk.https://www.mayoclinic.org/medical-professionals/physical-medicine-rehabilitation/news/got-glutes-part-1-the-role-of-the-gluteus-maximus-and-healthy-activation-patterns-in-core-stabilization/mac-20555692/
Your core is more than abs — it’s the deep stabilising system that protects your spine, improves balance and transfers strength between your upper and lower body. A strong core supports posture, reduces back pain risk and makes movement more efficient. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3806175/
In short: stronger glutes + stronger core = better movement, less strain, more power!
Need and more reasons….. (obviously not but here they are anyway!)
Hot Pilates (HIIT) combines resistance training, interval work and heat exposure — a powerful mix for:
• Improving cardiovascular fitness and metabolic health
Research shows high-intensity interval training (HIIT) improves aerobic capacity (VO₂ max), blood vessel function, and cardiometabolic markers more efficiently than many traditional workouts.

• Increasing muscular strength and endurance through Pilates-based training
Pilates has been shown to increase muscular endurance and flexibility when practiced regularly as part of a structured program.
• Boosting post-exercise calorie burn and insulin sensitivity with HIIT
Numerous trials demonstrate that HIIT improves glucose regulation and metabolic health, enhancing insulin sensitivity and metabolic flexibility.
• Supporting heat adaptation and performance in heated environments
Repeated heat exposure leads to physiological adaptations (like better thermoregulation, increased plasma volume, and improved aerobic performance), which can improve tolerance to exercise stress.

It’s efficient. It’s effective. it works…. And we have fun (well I do 🤔)
