Lauren first discovered BYC after studying at ArtsEd in Turnham Green in 2009. She went on to become an actor and is now a successful theatre producer and made her West End debut in 2023. Lauren’s favourite classes at BYC are 26+2 and yin (especially candlelight!) but she has been known to brave an IHP class on occasion…! She started off as a Helping Hand in the Studio and then became a regular feature on the front desk in 2018.
Q&A Time:
How did you discover yoga?
Along with quite a few members of the team, I trained at ArtsEd in Turnham Green, and had fellow classmates telling me about this AMAZING hot yoga place around the corner… turns out, they were right!
How long have you been practising at BYC?
I started practicing in 2016, I think… Became a Helping Hand and then went on to be a regular fixture on a Saturday morning on the front desk from 2018.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given in yoga or life?
In yoga: “Its yoga PRACTICE, not yoga PERFECT”

If you could give one piece of advice to a fellow yogi just starting out on their yoga journey what would ut be?
Be patient with yourself in the heat! In your first few classes, if you do any yoga it’s a bonus!
