What is Restorative Yoga:
Restorative Yoga is the practice of using props to support the body, for the best result for rest and relaxation. It aims to help reduce stress in the body while encouraging the calmer part of our nervous system to be activated. When life is busy and everything seems to be running at ultra-speed, well supported rest can be a tonic.
Essential: please bring along a thick blanket that can be used as your head support. Please feel free to bring along any bolster, clean mat towel, eye bags or straps if you have them handy and want to use them in your practice

25th January: Re-align
Yes, whilst New Year period is exciting and perfect for setting new intention, it is also a good time for fitting in a break for those who had been running round during the festive season. A good practice also helps us to sort through what we want to bring along into the new year, and what we can leave behind with the old. Not to mention, it is a great way to welcome yourselves back to West London if you have been aboard.
29th March: Re-emerge
More awake time since the slumbering months? As we gain more daylight, we are better with a rhythm filled with more activities. However, regular proper breaks really go a long way, to keep up our stamina and not to lose that precious restfulness we gain during winter. This workshop will focus on transitioning and how to use rest to help with our new plans and intentions
31st May: Re-surge
Summer is often filled with heat, sunlight, parties and travel plan. Whilst we get much energy from the Sun, it can also be a little depleting. More than a siesta, this workshop is aimed to use the right support, breathing practice and focus to give us the short bursts of restoration we need in this season.
29th November: Rest
Keeping it simple for the last workshop in the 2025 series. Winter is here, days are darker and colder, but somehow we always managed to get busier before we can really slow down and enjoy the rest. So if you are looking for a little break and practice to help before the end of year. Look no further and join us.
